MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LITTLE CAWTHORPE PARISH COUNCIL
A Meeting of the Parish Council was held at The Royal Oak on Tuesday 7 March 2023 at 7.30 pm.

1. Apologies - None
 
2. Minutes of Last Meeting
The Minutes of the Meeting held on 11 January 2023 were approved and signed.
 
3. Reports
Cemetery Working Group
The Chairman will treat fence and gates. Cllr Mrs Poppleton reported that the hedge had been cleared out.
 
Legbourne Community Centre Group
Cllr Mrs Poppleton advised that there would been a Quiz Night on 10/03/23, a Meeting on 14/03/23
and Bingo on 31/03/23.
 
Speeding, Traffic & Highways Issues/Police Matters
Members had been made aware of the concerns of Legbourne Parish Council with regard to dog fouling, and there was a request to join them in trying to resolve this issue. The Clerk had been provided with some dog fouling notices by ELDC, which she distributed. Following discussion, it was
 
RESOLVED to contribute towards the cost of the purchasing equipment to discourage dog fouling up to the sum of £100.
 
4. Clerk’s Report-The Clerk had nothing to report.
 
5. Planning
The Committee noted the Planning Application N/100/01972/22 Land behind The Woodlands, Mill Lane, Legbourne, but agreed that no comments/observations were required, due to Legbourne Parish Council having the matter in hand. Clerk to advise ELDC.
 
6. Correspondence
ELDC- Clerks & Councils, LALC-Newsletter–noted.
 
7. Accounts
The statement of Income and Expenditure was noted which met the Council’s approval.
Clerk’s Salary £363.12 HMRC-PAYE £ 2.60
The Chairman reported that he had deposited £1 in the Jubilee Fund to keep the account open for this group.
 
8. Business
Beck Area
The Chairman had resolved the adjustment of the stones, making the area more accessible for vehicles.
 
Beck Planting
The Vice-Chairman would arrange a tidy up and plant some hedging in the area from the bench up to smarten up the area.
 
Pond Improvements
The Chairman reported that he was intending to remove the duck house to clean it up and it was agreed to fork out some clumps to clear the pond up.
 
9. Matters for Discussion
The Chairman reported that he would erect the wooden signage on the Woodland Walkway.
 
Councillors noted which grit bins required replenishing and would resolve the matter.
