MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF LITTLE CAWTHORPE PARISH COUNCIL
A Meeting of the Parish Council was held at The Royal Oak on Wednesday 28 September 2022 at 7.30 pm. The Meeting was originally to be held on the 14 September 2022, but had to be postponed due to the death of Queen Elizabeth II.

         Also Present:               Cllr Ms Parkin (LCC).
 
  1. Apologies – None.
 
2.         Minutes of Last Meeting
The Minutes of the Meeting held on 13 July 2022 were approved and signed.
 
3.         Reports
Cemetery Working Group – The Clerk advised that grasscutting had taken place. Cllr Mrs Poppleton commented on how much better kept the area was.
 
             Legbourne Community Centre Group
Cllr Mrs Poppleton advised that there was nothing to report.
 
             Speeding, Traffic & Highways Issues/Police Matters
The Committee advised nothing to report.
 
4.         Clerk’s Report-The Clerk had nothing to report.                 
 
5.         Planning-None received.
 
6.         Correspondence
ELDC-Electoral Update, Purple Bin, Clerks & Councils, LALC, Rural Links, Zurich-Ins– noted.
 
7.         Accounts
            The statement of Income and Expenditure was noted which met the Council’s approval.

8.         Business
Beck Silt Build-up
The Vice-Chairman explained where the problem was and how it may be resolved. It was agreed to carry out a site visit to enable proper consideration of what equipment and action was required.
 
Bench Donation
The Vice-Chairman had obtained quotes to install the new bench the cost of which will be provided by donation (£999.54) and to move the old bench to a new location. Following discussion, it was
 
RESOLVED  to scrap the old bench, due to relocation not being a cost efficient option.
                               
Church Handrail and Steps - Storm Damage Repairs
The Chairman confirmed he will carry out work required in due course.
                               
Pond Improvements
The Chairman advised he would attend to the weeds and duck house in October, other Members offered their assistance.
