Speeding, Traffic & Highways Issues/Police Matters
Cllr Ms Parkin (LCC) reported there is now a new Highways Manager (Kyra Nettles). It seems that issues previously raised to Highways, do not seem to have been passed on. Cllr Ms Parkin is meeting the new Highways Manager on 18/10/21 to once again address the outstanding issues. The Vice-Chairman disappointment at the lack of action by Highways on any of the issues raised by our Parish Council and other Parish Councils. Highways were basically uncontactable, items reported appeared to just drop off the system and the only one route to take up any issues is via Cllr Ms Parkin, and any repairs appear to be carried out are random. Some of the outstanding works were noted such as jetpatching of Watery Lane, Large pot holes down Watery Lane, potholes down Haugham Pastures.
The Vice-Chairman had spoken to some of the organisers of the tractor run, he felt that the issue of very large vehicles going down Watery Lane had been taken on board and the situation would not occur next time.
4. Clerk’s Report
Members noted that the service of the defibulator had been carried out.
5. Planning
The Committee considered a Section 73 Application N/100/01843/21 relating to condition no. 2 imposed on the original Planning Application No: N/100/01779/19 by Mr Oliver, Trout Farm, Mill Lane, Legbourne. It was

Noticeboard
Cllr Mrs Poppleton advised that the Men’s Shed had reported that the notice board needed more repairs than originally anticipated. Cllr Mrs Poppleton has been to see what they are doing and what extra needs to be done, because costs will now exceed the original £120 agreed. A donation of £60 had been received from a Parishioner, which was noted and thanks expressed. It was.
RESOLVED that the additional cost of repair to the noticeboard was a necessity and that the Men’s Shed should also be approached to make the signs for the John Lill Woodland Walk
Pond Improvements
The Committee are waiting for the Hiab before the clean out can be undertaken and somewhere to put the waste also needs to be sourced. A tidy up of the area of the side of the back from the Ford to Colonial Cottage was planned.
Projects – Nothing to report.
9. Matters for Discussion
The Committee noted that Broadband speeds were once again an issue in the village. BT operatives working in the village had been approached, but advised they were only working on phone line. It was felt that having a box installed in the village would resolve this problem, rather than the one at the junction of the main road.
